Senigallia
Information & Tips about Senigallia:
Senigallia is a nice sea town on the Adriatic coast, only 40 km from Ancona. Its origins are very ancient and the Gallic tribe chose this location as their main town in Italy. From here, in 390 B.C., Brenno began his march against Rome, known as the "Sack of Rome". Nowadays, Senigallia is a very popular sea destination with a 13 km sandy coast, so-called "velvet beach" and characterized by La Rotonda. Worth visiting: the Fenice Theatre, the Castle Rocca Roveresca, the Cathedral, the Portici Ercolani and the Foro Annonario, where you can still find the daily fresh market.
