Genova is an old town with thousand facets, and it is really worth visiting. In the splendid main town of Liguria, tourists can find the right combination of art, culture and amusement. You can't absolutely miss having a walk along the carruggi, the narrow alleys and arcades characterizing the town along which you can discover really suggestive sights, with a peculiar charm. There are many stately homes and monuments with a high historical and artistic value, such as Palazzi dei Rolli declared as an Unesco World Heritage site, and the Cathedral of San Lorenzo.

For those who have younger children, we recommend to visit the town Aquarium with more than 10.000 species; besides observing a great variety of fish and aquatic mammals, it is endowed with open pools where you can dive in with the help of guides and swim together with animals. The aquarium offers also play-routes for children and teenagers, so allowing them to enjoy themselves while learning. Next to the Aquarium, ferryboats and small boats leave for a little cruise around the port so that tourists can admire from the sea the Lantern, which is the symbol of Genova, inside of which we can find the city museum.

If you choose to spend a day at sea you can opt for one of the numerous lidos and seaside resorts along Corso Italia, more than five kilometers long, where tourists can find all services they need. Furthermore, not so far from Genova, there are some of the most beautiful seaside towns in Liguria and all within reach. At night, Genova offers many occasions for entertaining tourists; first of all, we recommend to stop to one of the numerous restaurants in the city centre, where you can taste the Ligurian specialties. Then there are a lot of places to go, such as pubs, night clubs and discos where you can stay all night long enjoying yourselves with your friends.
