Cinquale is a hamlet in the municipality of Montignoso with a strong tourist vocation; its position is very peculiar for, notwithstanding its closeness to Forte dei Marmi, it is much calmer and thus suitable for those who are looking for a relaxing and restful holidays, besides amusement. The coast of Cinquale di Montignoso is not very large: there are only nine hundred meters of beaches, but they are equipped with all services. Bathing establishments, in fact, are very numerous and well-qualified in order to meet all the needs of tourists: there are bars, restaurants, and hotels close to the coast. There is a crystal clear sea ideal for families with children: in fact, you can safely swim and bath, but you can also try water sports. Furthermore, in Cuintale di Montignoso there is a small port where little boats can dock: it is open all the year round and there are about two hundreds moorings available.
This town is also appreciated from those who love nature: there are some protected areas in the surroundings, such as the Lago di Porta, which is a faunal oasis managed conjointly by WWF and Lega Ambiente. It extends for more than 80 hectares and is composed above all by fresh water surfaces covered with grove of reeds. Thanks to a great variety of habitats, there are several species of animals and plants. Thus, it is an ideal destination for excursions by bike or by horse, or to walk through, to discover an absolutely unique and extraordinary environment.
In Cinquale di Montignoso you can also take advantage of thermal treatments in specialized wellness centres where you can relax yourself. Finally, at night we recommend you to have a walk along the narrow alleys of the town, where you can find restaurants, bars and small craftsmen's workshops.
